I started Anguissa because I kept noticing the same gap — clothes that look good in photos but feel impractical to actually wear, or pieces so comfortable you would never be caught wearing them outside. I wanted to close that gap.
Our story
Built with intention, not excess.
Anguissa was founded in Barcelona by Smbat Hakhverdyan — not a corporation or fashion group, but one person who cared more about how clothes actually fit into a day than how they performed on a mood board.
The name came from an old Catalan word for a narrow passageway — a threshold between one place and another — which felt right for a shop sitting between dressed-up and dressed-down.
“I was not trying to reinvent fashion. I just wanted a shop I would genuinely enjoy browsing myself.”
I spent months testing different pieces before ever opening for orders, always asking one question: would I actually reach for this again on a Wednesday morning? If the answer was not an immediate yes, it did not make the cut.
What I have built is a small, considered collection — not a catalogue with hundreds of options, but a range of pieces that earn their place. It is updated seasonally, removing what no longer fits and adding things I have genuinely been excited about for a while.
How I work

I do not operate warehouses in Barcelona. Orders are fulfilled by manufacturing partners in China, which is something I am upfront about. It is why delivery typically takes 6–12 business days, and it is also part of how I keep prices fair without compromising on quality.
Every item in the shop has been reviewed by me before listing. I do not add things to pad out the catalogue. When a new piece drops, it is because I have been sitting on it for a while and finally decided it belongs here.
I believe the best shopping experiences are honest ones. Product pages tell you what you need to know — sizing, materials, and delivery windows — so nothing comes as a surprise when your order arrives.
